In line with the commitment of PT. Vallianz Maritime Offshore (PTVOM) to the HSE Policy, we recognize the risks involved when the effects of illegal drugs and alcohol, we have carried out unannounced internal drug & alcohol testing on board vessel Swiber Venturer, Swiber Challenger, and Rawabi 99 in Batam. This test was carried out by one of QHSE Dept. personnels (Ms. Desni Kristina) who has background in Medical (Nurse) on Feb 21st, 2024.

Drug & alcohol test carries out once a year on each vessel as well as in the office to ensure all employees comply with the Company Policy and Regulation. Misuse of drugs and alcohol can affect work performance and can cause serious threats to health, safety, security, and the environment, for that PTVOM is determined to reduce the risks that occur, by carry out the test and adopt “Zero Tolerance” policy.

PTVOM prohibits everyone to carries, keeping, and use illegal drugs & alcohol, and no person is permitted to enter the company premises both office and vessel if they are under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or misuse of medical drugs. PTVOM also has the right to act on its employees and contractors in the Company’s premises both onshore and offshore, as follows:

  • Drug and alcohol test at any time,
  • Body search and / or check personnel belonging to drugs and alcohol,
  • Conducting drug and alcohol testing periodically and after an accident.

Violating this Drugs and Alcohol Policy will result in disciplinary action including termination of employment.
